6 arrested in Kirkuk

Police sources said here today that a joint force arrested 6 armed men from Diala province.
The arrested belong to the so-called Iraqi Islamic State, who exploded a number of Shiite mosques and killing elders in the province.
The source told Aswat al-Iraq that a joint force with the Kurdish security forces, Asayish, managed to arrest them.
The arrested persons acknowledged exploding vehicles near Shiite mosques in Kirkuk, assassination of elders and armed thefts.
